Having witnessed phony paranormal activity contrived by means of practical effects at various Halloween haunt events over the past few weeks, I was thrilled to be invited to a real paranormal investigation at an actual haunted house. Ghost hunters are often dismissed as kooky crackpots or total frauds; and it seemed like an interesting opportunity to learn about their techniques. However, I was also skeptical. The event was to celebrate the release of Poltergeist on Blu-ray and DVD. Would it be a mere sales presentation, perhaps involving interactive performances culminating in some sort of staged spectral encounter?

Curiosity outweighed my skepticism. In any event, Twentieth Century Fox would undoubtedly put on a good show.

Researching the Beverly Hills location, I once again felt dubious. There is some question–as there is of any haunted place–as to whether or not the house is truly inhabited by spirits. David Oman, a film producer, lives there. No one has actually died on site, though Sharon Tate and four others were infamously murdered at the house that once existed 150 feet from the premises.

Fears ‘aliens cause eruptions’ after cigar-shaped UFO targets active volcano AGAIN

An eerie series of lights and objects, including a long cigar-shaped anomaly, were filmed near the active Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico which has got UFO hunters excited that it confirms their theory that aliens monitor or even CAUSE geothermal activity on Earth.

The strange circular orbs were captured on the cameras of Webcams Mexico (Webcams de Mexico) floating around the Popocatepetl volcano on the border between central Mexico’s states of Puebla and Morelos.

A video of the incident which was broadcast on webcamsdemexico.com was uploaded onto social media platforms and has had thousands of hits.

Is the Jersey Devil in Galloway Township?

For more than 200 years, people living in or passing through New Jersey’s Pinelands have reported seeing a strange, winged creature that has come to be known as the Jersey Devil.

There are tons of stories about the monster, and thousands of witnesses who claim they have encountered it.

Late Tuesday night, I received an email from a reader who recently became one of those witnesses.

Dave Black of Little Egg Harbor Township was driving home from his security guard job in Atlantic City when he saw what he thought was a llama running in and out of the trees lining the road.

“I was just driving past the golf course in Galloway on Route 9 and had to shake my head a few times when I thought I saw a lama,” he wrote in his email.

What happened next is the bizarre part.

Small Boy Lands Monster Sturgeon; Described as “10-Foot Dinosaur”

A 9-year-old boy said landing a prehistoric-looking fish measuring 10 feet long and weighing 600 pounds was a dream come true–and more than a little bit scary.

“I thought the fish was going to pull me into the water,” Kegan Rothman told Calgary Sun, in reference to the massive white sturgeon he caught Monday on the Fraser River.

After measurements were taken–the fish also boasted a 50-inch girth–the sturgeon was tagged and released. (The video below shows Kegan coaxing the sturgeon into a deeper portion of river, where it slowly swims out of sight.)

Colossal Squid Caught On Video By Startled Russian Sailors

Shouldn’t creatures of the deep be … a bit deeper?

Russian sailors recently came across a massive squid, which they captured on video posted to YouTube. The bright red creature was apparently trying to eat a fish the men had snared, but the sailors pushed it off its prey before it jetted back down into the depths.

There was some debate over whether the animal in the video was a “giant squid” or a “colossal squid,” cephalopod relatives that are rarely seen alive. Michael Vecchione, an adjunct scientist at NOAA’s National Systematics Lab and giant squid expert, told The Huffington Post the creature seen in the video above is a colossal squid, not a giant squid.

UK ‘UFO sighting’ as woman films orange light rocketing into the sky

A strange UFO has been spotted by a woman as she was making breakfast in her kitchen this morning.

Kirstie Hockley, from St Neots in Cambridgeshire, was downstairs at 7am when she suddenly saw the mysterious light through her window.

She immediately grabbed her phone to record the UFO , which she confessed was really “weird”.

Does FBI memo prove aliens DID crash near Roswell and THREE UFOs and were covered up?

An FBI memo that has come under scrutiny following freedom of information requests even suggests each “saucer” contained three bodies of three-foot tall aliens in the legendary “alien” incident.

The Roswell incident, in July 1947, went down in UFO folklore after the US Air Force announced it had found the remains of what was suspected of being a crashed flying saucer in the New Mexico desert near the town.

The Educational Wiki: The wiki section is broken down into three main categories, Crypozoology, The Paranormal and Extraterrestrial. Each category contains write ups specific to that topic, written by The PACC, for your reading pleasure and research needs. Each entry contains a write up as well as galleries for Video, Audio and Images. We are currently in the process of writing and uploading more entries, we’ll let everyone know via PACC News when a new entry has been entered.
